Leila received a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 2019.
Leila is passionate about both traditional and non-traditional education and co-founded Apex to help students fulfill their potential. Leila is also the co-founder of Tawwr, a coding bootcamp for young professionals to re-skill and shift their career into tech.
Prior to Apex, Leila worked in sustainable development and policy-making at the UN in Switzerland and the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. She has been a freelance researcher in public policy and business intelligence for The Economist since 2020.
